Why You Need To Hire Passionate People

In chapter 2 of my new book, “Getting Your People to Step Up”, I talk about hiring the right people for the right jobs. One of the key things I’ve learnt over the years (often the hard way!) is it is important to hire people who are passionate about what they do and who can become passionate about your vision for your business.
Typically, passionate people are engaged in their role and your business. And yet there’s so much more to hiring passionate and engaged people than that.
Passionate, engaged people:
· Have intrinsic motivation that comes from within
· Are driven by a genuine love for what they do
· Tend to be more productive
· Are often more efficient
· More openly collaborate and share ideas with other people
· Are enthusiastic – and that enthusiasm becomes contagious throughout the team
· Contribute to the positive brand reputation of your business
· View challenges as opportunities
