Give Them Something To Believe In

Do you want your people to be motivated to help you grow your business? Do you want them to go the extra mile for you?
Many people might think that’s a near-impossible ask but, in my experience as a business owner and entrepreneur, it is not as hard as it might seem. In fact, it’s as simple as creating a compelling and inspiring vision for where you see your business going, a vision that gives your people something to believe in.
Here’s an example to show you what I mean. Imagine there are two construction workers. When a passerby asks one of them what he is building, he replies that he is chipping away at the rock. It’s hot, dusty and backbreaking work, but he needs the money to put food on the table for his family.
The passerby then asks the second construction worker what they are building. The second person says, "I am building a temple where people can come and connect and pray."
What a difference! The second construction worker believes in something bigger than the rock. They believe they are building a temple. They believe in a vision.
