When I turned 40, I went to India to find myself for the next decade. It was important for me to learn things deeply about myself.
I spend time listening to Dalai Lama and his teachings.
I went to meet a nun who had spent 10 years in a cave meditating.
I did yoga everyday with an American group on retreat.
The most common thing I learnt from all of these experiences in 19 days (the most time I have been away from my children) was that we are all one.
However as we all combat COVID, I have been struggling with what is happening in Afghanistan.
As the Taliban has taken over and the world is caught up in its own issues, are we still one? Girls and women are being told they can no longer be educated or work and have to remain at home with their families.
What can I do by myself to help the situation?
