Last week, both my in-laws got admitted to hospital. I was in India volunteering. My husband was holding the fort. We had some amazing people that stepped in and helped us with the kids whilst Scott made 3 trips of 3 hours one way over those 8 days.
This week we have been trying to get their assessments done to see if they need to go to an aged care facility. I am trying to catch up on work and spend as much time as possible with the kids before I have to go overseas for 5 days for the second time in a fortnight. Trust me, it is not as glamourous as it sounds.
I have a new venture starting early next year where are in the middle of doing a lot of research and planning.
I was speaking to a friend yesterday who said "You are awesome at managing projects'. 'Thanks' I replied. He then asked 'Where does Project Shivani fit in?'. I didn't have an answer. I realised although I am very good at talking time out in little amounts for myself and working. I have a project file for work, projects and kids however I dont' have one for me.
This is my priority between now and Christmas. What sort of things may make the project - family, work, friends and health maybe?.....

Here are 3 tips:
1. Take 5 minutes today to see where you fit into your list each day?
2. If you don't, then put a task of reading a book and having a cup of tea for 30 mins or something that will help you feel like you are putting 'you' back into a list
3. If there are bigger goals you have been wanting to achieve, schedule them into your diary for the next 4-6 weeks. Try and have the date with yourself.
