One of the Hunter’s most experienced human resource executives has joined his wife in her leadership coaching business.
Scott Orpin has joined Shivani Gupta at the Hunter based Passionate People Institute.
Shivani said that Scott’s appointment strengthens the company’s executive coaching capability and adds a new strategic human resource strategy and planning service.
“Scott is an expert in making significant improvements in outcomes for business through its people,” Shivani said.
Mr Orpin has more than 20 years of senior management experience in human resources, change management and leadership development. He was previously the director of environment, health and safety as well as the director HR at Tomago Aluminium and has also worked for BHP Billiton.
Mr Orpin said the move into the business is about following his passion and also about making more time to spend with his family. He is the father of two teenage children from his first marriage and two young children with Shivani.
The couple said they will be working hard to get the balance right between their life partnership and working partnership.
Together they have already developed a new, year-long professional development program for executives in organisations. It will involve four one day workshops with the couple as well as regular master classes. An initial version of the program for women wishing to join with others from outside their own business environment will commence on August 4. It can be tailored for men and women within organisations. For details visit www.passionatepeopleinstitute.com.
