At an event in Sydney last month, a woman came up to me to say that she had heard of me before. She asked if I had won the Telstra Young Business Woman of the Year Award. I had won that award, ahem, quite a few years ago now, but this woman had still remembered. This got me thinking about the value of awards in business.
